CIAMIS – Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya officially inaugurated 208 new officials in the courtyard of the Ciamis Regency Hall on Monday (September 8, 2025). This event marked the near completion of the entire regional apparatus organization (OPD) structure and was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), including the Deputy Chief of the Ciamis Police, Commissioner Sujana, S.Pd. The presence of the National Police at this event demonstrated their full support.
Inaugurating 208 New Officials, the Regent expressed his appreciation for the Ciamis Regency Government’s efforts to strengthen the bureaucracy and improve public services. The inaugurations covered various levels, from senior leaders, administrators, supervisors, to functional officials and 12 heads of Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Technical Implementation Units (UPTD).
The Head of the Ciamis Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Ai Rusli Suargi, explained that the inaugurations were carried out to fill vacant positions and improve government performance. Regent Herdiat Sunarya emphasized that the job rotation and promotion process was carried out strictly and in accordance with applicable regulations. “This is the first time, eight months after my second term, that we can carry out the inauguration. The process was very difficult and took a long time,” said the Regent.
Herdiat advised the newly inaugurated officials to prioritize friendly, prompt, and straightforward public service. He also emphasized the importance of integrity and a simple lifestyle. “Carry out this mandate to the best of your ability. Avoid a hedonistic lifestyle and be a role model for the community,” he said.
On that occasion, Regent Herdiat also highlighted the increasing number of cases of violence against women and children. He urged the new officials to go directly to their respective regions and not ignore existing social issues.
Most importantly, Herdiat issued a stern warning against online gambling among State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
“I will dishonorably discharge without pension benefits any ASN found to be gambling online. I will take firm action,” he asserted. At the conclusion of the event,
Regent Herdiat Sunarya, along with members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), greeted all the newly inaugurated officials. This inauguration is expected to strengthen public services while maintaining social stability amidst various challenges.
